This is a clinic-based position located out of ourSurrey Hills clinic. Some travel will be required to local schools; however, no in-home sessions will be conducted.

About Us
n
Hide and Speech is a paediatric allied health practice that provides intervention and assessment to children and adolescents with developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder. We are a team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, allied health assistants and administrative assistants. Many of our clients require multi-disciplinary intervention, which fosters a supportive and team-oriented environment amongst our clinical team. We are passionate about client outcomes, and we pride ourselves on being a welcoming and light-hearted clinic; we strive to deliver a professional and holistic service to all our families.

With our rapidly growing caseload, we are looking to expand our practice to include another speech pathologist. Most of our sessions are conducted at the clinic; however, we provide kindergarten and school services if requested.
n
The role:
n
We are looking for paediatric speech pathologists to join our team in a permanent,
ongoing role. Part-time and full-time arrangements are available, with flexibility to negotiate hours that suit you.
n
The role involves providing assessments and intervention for children with a range of communication needs, including developmental delay and autism. Availability across Tuesday to Saturday is required.
n
Tasks:
n
n
- Meeting with parents or caregivers to conduct initial consultations.
n
- Liaising with parents or caregivers to establish family-centred goals.
n
- Liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team who are involved in the child's care.
n
- Designing intervention plans to support children in achieving their goals.
n
- Providing therapy support at the clinic or in the child's natural environment.
n
- Conducting standardised assessments.
n
- Ensuringwritten reports, paperwork and progress notes are completed accurately and timely.
n

Requirements:

- Registration with SPA,
n
- Working with Children Check,
n
- National Police Check,
n
- Own professional insurance and indemnity cover.
