About the role

Old England Hotel is seeking a Gaming Supervisor on a casual basis to join our dynamic hospitality team in Heidelberg, VIC. This position offers the flexibility of casual work whilst providing an integral supervisory function within our gaming operations.

As Gaming

Supervisor, you will oversee gaming floor activities, ensure compliance with all relevant gaming regulations, and deliver exceptional customer service to our valued patrons. This role is perfect for someone seeking flexible employment who has experience in gaming or hospitality supervision.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise gaming floor operations and monitor all gaming machines to ensure they are functioning correctly and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor patron behaviour and gaming activity to ensure compliance with responsible gaming practices and venue policies
- Respond promptly to patron inquiries and resolve any gaming-related issues or complaints with professionalism and discretion
- Conduct regular cash handling procedures and reconciliations in accordance with venue protocols and gaming legislation
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all incidents, unusual activities, and patron complaints on the gaming floor
- Ensure the gaming floor remains clean, well-maintained, and welcoming to all patrons
- Assist with training and mentoring of junior gaming staff as required
- Liaise with management regarding any gaming floor issues, maintenance requirements, or compliance matters
- Enforce responsible gaming policies and promote a safe gaming environment for all patrons

What we're looking for

- Current and valid Gaming Supervisor certification or licence as required by Victorian gaming regulations
- Proven experience working in a gaming venue or similar hospitality environment, with supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of gaming machines, gaming legislation,



and responsible gaming principles
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage patron interactions professionally and courteously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with the flexibility to work casual shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Sound cash handling experience and ability to maintain accurate records
- Working knowledge of responsible service of alcohol practices and venue compliance procedures
- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of customer service and professional conduct
