About the Role

As a key member of our operations team, you will help ensure our facilities and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include

- Performing general maintenance and repair tasks across the school

- Maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness

- Assisting with the set-up and pack-down of school events and functions





- Responding to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently

- Ensuring compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements

- Liaising with contractors and service providers when required

Your role will directly contribute to creating a safe and positive environment for our school community

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who is:

- Demonstrates and displays an understanding of the Islamic ethos of the school, supporting the school’s philosophy, values, beliefs, and mission whilst contributing to a caring and supportive environment for all students, parents, and staff.

- Experienced in general maintenance, building, or facilities management (school or community setting highly regarded)

- Knowledgeable in WHS regulations and hazard reporting

- Able to work independently and manage tasks effectively

- Physically capable of manual tasks including lifting, climbing, and outdoor work

- Organised, reliable, and proactive
- A strong communicator with a team-oriented mindset
- In possession of a current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willing to obtain one prior to commencement

Highly Desirable

- Trade qualification or Certificate III in Building Maintenance, Carpentry, or related field

- Experience in a school or similar environment

- First Aid Certificate

- WHS, manual handling,



or chemical safety training

- Experience using digital maintenance systems

- Understanding of sustainability and waste management practices
