About the Role

Auriga Marine is seeking Brisbane-based maritime crew to join our team aboard the Auriga Titan, operating within the Port of Brisbane. The Auriga Titan is a Brisbane-based bunker tanker providing marine fuel bunkering services. The vessel undertakes ship-to-ship bunkering operations and operates within a, safety-focused maritime environment.

This is a casual position with regular ongoing work, combining night ship-keeping duties with opportunities to work as part of the vessel’s operational crew. The role will provide reliable ship-keeping coverage while also developing and maintaining a capable pool of casual crew who can assist with bunkering operations, mooring and other vessel duties and relief work as required.

Key Responsibilities

Regular ship-keeping coverage is required, particularly overnight. Ship-keeping duties include:

- Safety and security rounds
- Monitoring vessel and machinery spaces
- Routine machinery and equipment checks
- Housekeeping and general vessel duties
- Maintaining a safe watch while the vessel is alongside
- Participating in vessel familiarisation, training and drills

In addition to ship-keeping,



suitable casual crew will also be offered operational GPH work as vessel requirements allow. This may include:
- Mooring and unmooring operations
- Deck and general vessel duties
- Assisting with bunkering and cargo operations
- Maintenance and housekeeping
- Drills, training and familiarisation
- Leave, sickness and short-notice operational relief

Operational work will be allocated according to vessel requirements, crew competency and availability.

About You

This role would suit someone looking for regular maritime work, practical vessel experience and the opportunity to become a useful part of an operating bunker tanker crew. While the position is casual, we expect there is a regular and ongoing requirement for ship-keeping, with additional operational work available as the vessel’s workload requires. Some flexibility is required, and short notice work may occasionally arise as vessel operations change.

- Are interested in both ship-keeping and operational GPH duties
- Take pride in keeping a vessel clean, safe and operational
- Are enthusiastic and willing to learn from experienced crew
- Are able to work safely and independently when required
- Can work effectively as part of a small, practical team

Role Requirements

Essential

- Minimum General Purpose Hand (GPH) Certificate of Competency or higher
- Current AMSA medical
- Current MSIC, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability and willingness to undertake regular night work
- Reliable transport and ability to attend the vessel within the Port of Brisbane
- A positive attitude towards safety, training and teamwork

Desirable The following would be advantageous:

- Master <24 m NC or higher
- MED 2 or higher
- Basic tanker training or tanker experience
- Previous commercial vessel, tug, tanker, workboat or engine room experience
- Previous bunkering experience
