About the role

Reedy Creek Medical Centre is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our team in Gold Coast, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide high-quality primary healthcare services to our diverse local community. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions whilst maintaining a patient-centred approach to medicine.

This role is integral to our mission of delivering accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to the Reedy Creek area.

Key responsibilities

- Conducting comprehensive patient consultations, including medical history taking, physical examinations and diagnostic assessments
- Diagnosing and managing a diverse range of acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with current clinical guidelines
- Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes
- Providing preventative healthcare advice and health promotion to patients across all age groups
- Referring patients to specialists and allied health professionals when clinically indicated
- Managing chronic disease conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease
- Conducting routine health checks and screenings relevant to age and risk factors
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical records and documentation in accordance with legal and professional standards
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and practice staff to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Participating in continuing professional development and maintaining clinical knowledge and skills
- Contributing to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures

What we're looking for

- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution
- Current registration with the AHPRA
- Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or FACRRM
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in managing common primary care presentations




- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with diverse patient populations
- Current CPR certification and willingness to maintain professional development requirements
- Commitment to evidence-based clinical practice and quality patient care

We provide a competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We are offering 70% of the billing’s, Including a 3month minimum guarantee of $150 plus GST per hour or 70% billing’s whichever is higher.

Our clinic also has nursing home patients that can add extra income.

Our practice is equipped with Best practice software, modern medical facilities and technology to support efficient and effective patient care.

Very good sized rooms including a large treatment room. We have nurses who are trained in providing IV therapy including nutritional therapy.

We have skin care equipment like heallite, skin pen etc.
