About the role

You'll work on the backend side of our WordPress-based CMS and on integrating AI tools into our content and production pipelines. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build real things from day one, not shadow a senior dev for a year before touching production code. You'll report to the Digital Director.

Key responsibilities

- Day-to-day management and upkeep of the WordPress CMS, including plugin and theme updates, security patches and performance
- Working on AI pipeline development, connecting AI tools and APIs into content, creative and publishing workflows
- Working alongside strategists, designers and producers to understand what a build actually needs to do before you build it
- Building and maintaining CMS integrations on WordPress (custom plugins, ACF fields, REST API endpoints)
- Testing and debugging across the CMS and integrated systems
- Documenting builds and integrations so the rest of the team can use and maintain them
- Keeping an eye on recent AI tools relevant to content and creative production and flagging what's worth trying

About you

- A recent graduate in computer science, marketing (digital), or a related field (or equivalent self-taught experience you can back up with real projects)




- Some exposure in PHP and an understanding of how WordPress works under the hood (themes, plugins, hooks, ACF, REST API)
- Some experience with WordPress page builders like Elementor, Seedpro, etc
- Some exposure to AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar), or a genuine interest in learning fast
- Some exposure to Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow is an advantage but not required
- Able to explain technical decisions to non-technical teammates without talking down to them
- Adelaide-based or willing to work from our Adelaide CBD studio
- Curious about how things work and you like pulling them apart to find out
- You get a kick out of building something that works, and you'd rather ship a real thing than sit on the sidelines
- You pick up new tools and languages quickly, and you're genuinely interested in where AI is heading and how it can be put to practical use
