- Western Sydney Penrith location
- Full end to end management of the HR function, reporting to MD
- Advanced manufacturing organisation with secure and strong revenue
Your new company
Advanced manufacturing company with a stable and strong revenue line with a few hundred employees based in western Sydney near Penrith.
Your new role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Group HR Manager will lead the Australian HR, employee relations, industrial relations and workplace health and safety agenda while supporting stakeholders across the broader Group. This is a visible, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with operational leaders and employees rather than operating from a purely corporate centre.
Key priorities
- Deliver responsive, commercially practical HR and employee relations advice.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, policies, compliance, training, HRIS and workforce reporting.
- Support performance, conduct, remuneration and workforce matters across permanent and casual populations.
- Own WHS systems, incident investigations, injury management, workers compensation and return-to-work coordination.
- Partner across production, engineering, quality, finance and leadership functions.
- Maintain disciplined documentation and continuously improve established people and safety processes.
What you'll need to succeed
You are an experienced HR leader with strong operational judgement and the confidence to work across all levels of a business. You will bring broad HR generalist capability, practical WHS expertise and experience in a manufacturing, industrial or similarly quality-controlled environment. You are proactive, approachable and comfortable being on-site where the work happens.
What you'll get in return
- Profitable, growing and self-funded organisation with long-term investment in technology and process.
- Operational influence across a substantial Australian workforce and international stakeholder group.
- Established systems and quality disciplines rather than a high-stress turnaround mandate.
- Onsite parking and flexibility around start and finish times.
- Direct relationship with the Managing Director.
