The Role

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Hair & Makeup Artist / Studio Assistant to join our fast-paced fashion studio in the heart of Brisbane CBD. This is a blended creative and studio support role, combining hands-on Hair & Makeup for our eCommerce and campaign shoots with the day-to-day administration, product coordination and organisation that keeps our studio running smoothly.

You’ll bring your Hair & Makeup expertise to regular eCommerce shoots and campaign productions, both in-studio and on location. Outside of Hair & Makeup, a significant part of your role will be supporting the wider studio workflow, coordinating product and samples, managing eCommerce imagery, preparing shoots and assisting with general studio administration.

It’s a great opportunity for someone who loves the creative side of fashion production but is equally organised, proactive and happy to get involved behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing

Hair & Makeup

- Execute on-trend hair and makeup looks for eCommerce, content and campaign shoots in line with creative briefs and brand direction.
- Work closely with our Stylists, Photographers and wider Content Production team to ensure looks complement the overall shoot direction.
- Attend offsite and location campaign shoots as required to execute approved hair and makeup looks.
- Monitor and maintain hair and makeup throughout shoots, making adjustments as required.
- Respond quickly to creative feedback and changes while keeping shoots running efficiently.
- Stay across emerging hair, beauty, celebrity and social trends relevant to our customer and brand.
- Maintain the Hair & Makeup kit, including stock management, product sourcing, cleanliness and replenishment.

Studio & eCommerce Support

- Coordinate incoming and outgoing product and samples through the studio workflow.
- Order and organise samples required for upcoming eCommerce shoots.




- Support product preparation ahead of shoots to ensure styles are organised, presentable and shoot ready.
- Source product imagery and assets from brand partners and suppliers where required.
- Manage and maintain the eCommerce product library in collaboration with Buyers and relevant teams.
- Assist with tracking product and imagery through the eCommerce production process.
- Support the wider team with shoot preparation, studio organisation and day-to-day production requirements.
- Complete general studio administration and help keep studio processes organised and running efficiently.
- Jump in wherever needed to support a high-volume, quick-paced studio environment.

What will you need?

- You have a full understanding of hair and makeup standards and ideally have worked in a studio environment or have campaign experience.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of professional hair and makeup experience is required.
- You have your finger on the pulse with hair and makeup trends including celebrity style and influencers.
- Technical understanding of lighting, photography, and aesthetics.
- You can work quickly and efficiently, delivering quality work in a time sensitive environment.
- You have a proactive and motivated approach with the ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.
- You have outstanding organizational and time management skills
