About the role

We're looking for a Head Bartender to lead the drinks offering across our three bars. You'll build and run a cocktail and non-alcoholic list that suits an American diner: classic, fun and well made. You'll work closely with our FOH Manager so the drinks match the menu and our specials, and you'll help lift the standard of every drink that leaves the bar.

This role suits someone who can work independently, runs a tidy bar, and wants to grow with the business. Strong service skills and the ability to handle high-volume trade are a must.

Key responsibilities

- Develop cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks that fit the Rick's Garage menu, specials and events
- Manage stocktake, ordering and inventory across the bars
- Deliver fast, friendly, consistent service during busy trade, functions and live music nights
- Train bar staff so drinks are made to spec, every time




- Uphold service standards and support the floor team during peak periods
- Maintain professional presentation and punctuality
- Set up, reset and close the bars each shift

About you

- Previous experience as a Head Bartender, senior bartender or similar
- Solid cocktail knowledge and a valuable palate
- Experience with stock control and ordering
- Confidence leading and training a team
- Current RSA (QLD)
- Availability across nights, weekends and public holidays
- Minimum of 2+ years of cocktail experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of team/shift leadership
- Minimum of 1+ years of stock control
- Genuine passion and drive for hospitality and guest experience
