About The Bullet Club Glenelg The Bullet Club Glenelg is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead its kitchen operations and support the delivery of consistently high-quality food and service.

This is an opportunity for a motivated Chef who enjoys being hands-on in the kitchen while also taking responsibility for menu planning, food quality, kitchen organisation and the day-to-day coordination of kitchen staff.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared and presented to a high standard while maintaining consistency, efficiency and compliance with food safety and workplace requirements.

This is a hands-on culinary role, with the Head Chef actively involved in food preparation and cooking while providing leadership and direction to the broader kitchen team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Planning and developing menus in consultation with management
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes
- Overseeing food preparation and service to ensure quality and consistency
- Supervising, training and coordinating kitchen staff
- Managing food preparation, portion control and waste
- Estimating food and labour costs and supporting kitchen budget management
- Ordering ingredients and monitoring stock levels
- Liaising with suppliers and ensuring appropriate stock availability
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety




- Ensuring kitchen equipment, work areas and storage areas are properly maintained
- Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Supporting the efficient operation of the kitchen during busy service periods.

About You The successful candidate will be an experienced Chef who is passionate about food, enjoys leading by example and can maintain high standards in a busy commercial kitchen.

You will possess

- A relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent
- A minimum of 12 months’ relevant experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Experience coordinating or supervising kitchen operations
- Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Solid organisation and time-management skills
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Employment: Full-time, permanent
- Location: The Bullet Club Glenelg, Glenelg SA
- Salary: $80,000 per annum + superannuation
- Experience: Minimum 12 months’ relevant experience
