About us The Wharf and Co is a newly renovated Up-to-date Australian Restaurant on Glenelg. Coming off a 19 year history we have built a loyal following with seasonal and full flavour dishes and now at the stage where a Head Chef can come in and stamp their mark on this beach front venue.

The role

We're after a full-time Head Chef to take the lead in our kitchen. Lunch and dinner service is where you'll make your mark, setting the menu and holding the bar high on quality and creativity. Beyond that, the whole kitchen is yours to run, with every service delivered to a consistent standard. You'll be on the pass and on the line, leading a tight-knit crew from the front. Management will back you properly, and you'll have real input into where the food goes next.

The role

- Run lunch and dinner service, leading menu development and bringing fresh ideas to the pass
- Own the kitchen across every service, from prep through to close
- Build, coach and develop your kitchen team on the floor each day
- Control ordering, stock and food costs to hit agreed margins, and roster your team to match trade




- Keep the kitchen compliant, with food safety and HACCP standards met every shift
- Partner with the venue manager to plan specials, functions and events

What you'll bring

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or robust Sous Chef ready to step up
- Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent trade qualification)
- Confidence running a full menu and leading a team through service
- Availability across our Monday–Sunday trade, including weekends
