About The Role
QPAC is seeking an accomplished and commercially astute Head of Client Services - Ticketing to shape the strategic direction and lead the operationalisation of client ticketing services across QPAC and QTIX. Reporting to the Executive Director - Audiences, this is a senior leadership opportunity with significant influence across client partnerships, ticketing strategy, commercial performance and audience outcomes.
You will lead a multidisciplinary ticketing client services team and build trusted relationships with promoters, hirers, producers, venue partners and senior stakeholders through providing strategic advice and developing ticketing approaches that maximise revenue, grow attendance and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and audiences.
This role will suit an established leader who can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels, bringing together people, partnerships, data and commercial thinking to influence outcomes across a complex and dynamic live performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
As Head of Client Services - Ticketing, you will have the opportunity to:
- Shape ticketing strategy and influence the future direction of QPAC and QTIX's client services function.
- Lead significant industry relationships, partnering with promoters, hirers, producers, venue partners and senior stakeholders.
- Drive commercial performance, using sales, audience and financial insights to maximise revenue, attendance and audience engagement.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team,
setting a clear strategic direction and fostering an accountable, collaborative and service-focused culture.
- Influence the full ticketing event lifecycle, from commercial strategy and event builds through to on-sales, performance analysis and settlement.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging ticketing, CRM and customer communication technologies to improve client and audience experiences.
- Contribute at a senior organisational level, providing strategic advice on emerging opportunities, commercial risks and industry developments.
About You
You are an experienced senior leader with strong commercial acumen, sophisticated stakeholder management skills and a deep understanding of how ticketing strategy can drive revenue, audience growth and exceptional client outcomes. You are comfortable operating in complex, high-volume environments and can move confidently between strategic thinking and operational delivery. You build credibility quickly, use data to inform decisions and know how to bring people together around commercial and customer-focused outcomes.
You will bring
- Significant senior-level experience within ticketing strategy and ticketing client service delivery in venues, entertainment or a comparable commercial environment.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate organisational strategy into measurable operational and commercial outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of ticketing strategy and operations, including pricing, inventory management, forecasting, sales channels and event delivery.
- A demonstrated ability to build and influence deeply developed relationships with promoters, hirers, producers, senior leaders and other complex stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret sales, audience and financial performance and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- A successful track record of leading,
developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- An understanding of contemporary ticketing and customer technologies and how systems, CRM, automation and data can strengthen commercial and audience outcomes.
- The judgement, resilience and adaptability to lead effectively in a complex and quick-moving environment.
- Experience in performing arts, entertainment, major events, venues or a similarly complex customer-facing environment is essential.
