We are currently seeking an experienced Store Person / Driver to join a busy retail trade environment in Bathurst.

This is a hands-on role suited to a reliable and safety-focused individual who enjoys a varied working environment combining warehouse operations, stock management and customer deliveries. You will play an important role in ensuring stock is accurately received, stored, prepared and delivered to customers safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

As a Store Person / Driver, your responsibilities will include:

Driving & Deliveries

- Safely driving delivery vehicles to multiple locations.
- Loading, securing and delivering stock.
- Planning and managing delivery routes efficiently.
- Contacting customers with delivery updates.
- Providing professional and courteous customer service.
- Managing delivery schedules and meeting agreed delivery times.
- Recording deliveries, discrepancies and any anomalies.
- Loading and unloading vehicles at the branch and customer sites.
- Loading customer vehicles safely and efficiently.

Warehouse & Stores

- Assessing incoming goods and checking deliveries for accuracy.
- Processing incoming deliveries and opening delivery crates.




- Storing supplies correctly and maintaining an organised store.
- Weighing and staging supplies as required.
- Wrapping and preparing pallets for movement or dispatch.
- Using trolleys and trolley jacks to manoeuvre pallets and oversized items.
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Organising and moving store supplies.
- Picking and packing stock.
- Processing and despatching customer orders.
- Completing paperwork associated with receiving, processing and despatch.
- Participating in stocktakes and cyclical stock counts.
- Cable cutting, where appropriately trained.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
- Sweeping, cleaning and decluttering work areas.

Your Profile

We are looking for a dependable and proactive candidate who can confidently work across both warehouse and delivery operations.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Previous experience in warehousing, stores, logistics or a similar environment.
- Previous delivery or driving experience.
- A current and valid driver's licence.
- Experience loading, unloading and securing stock.
- Good understanding of warehouse and stock control processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- A solid commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, punctual and professional approach.
- The physical capability to safely handle stock and oversized items.
