Greencross North Lakes is a busy and well-established small animal clinic with a loyal client base and strong community connections.

We care primarily for dogs and cats, with the occasional pocket pet, and offer a wide variety of medical, surgical, and preventative healthcare services.

About the Role

n

As Practice Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operation and long-term success of the clinic.

n

You'll work closely with the Veterinary Director, nursing team, and regional leadership to create an setting where people thrive, clients receive exceptional service, and patients receive outstanding care.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading and supporting the nursing and reception teams
n
- Creating and maintaining a positive, engaged workplace culture
n
- Managing rostering, workflow, and team coordination
n
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and team development
n
- Monitoring clinic performance and key business metrics
n
- Supporting client service excellence and patient care standards
n
- Managing stock control and inventory processes
n
- Ensuring clinic compliance and operational standards are maintained
n
- Working closely with the Vet Director and regional leadership team
n
- Driving team engagement, retention, and professional development
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve clinic operations and efficiency
n
- Providing hands-on nursing or reception support where required
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
- Has previous Practice Manager, Head Nurse, or veterinary leadership experience
n




- Has a strong background working within the veterinary industry
n
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification (highly regarded)
n
- Has strong people leadership and coaching skills
n
- Demonstrates excellent organisational and time-management abilities
n
- Has experience managing teams, workflows, and clinic operations
n
- Is a confident communicator who builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues
n
- Is proactive, solutions-focused, and adaptable
n
- Has strong business acumen and attention to detail
n
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
n
