ROOF PLUMBER AND SLATER wanted for busy Slate and Copper Roofing business on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Salary - $40-$60 per hour pending experience

n

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

n

Being a team leader, the applicant is responsible for running jobs from start to finish and co-ordinating the rest of the team. Provide quality

n

workmanship in installing new slate roofs. Communicate with clients on a daily basis and ensure work is of the highest standard.

n

DUTIES AND TASKS:

n

n
- Securely erecting or installing safety structures i.e. ladders, scaffold, hand rails, anchor points
n
- Collecting materials from various suppliers
n
- Grade slate tiles as they appear on site
n
- Stripping of existing roofs
n
- Sarking and battening of new roofs
n
- Replacement of slates using copper nails
n
- Installing skylights, skydomes, vents etc and cutting and sizing surrounding materials to fit
n




- Installing and/or replacing valleys, gutters, ridge and all associated rain water goods
n
- Bedding and pointing of ridge capping
n
- Ensuring site is tidy and safe at all times
n
- Protected disposal all roofing materials
n

QUALIFICATIONS, WORK EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

n

n
- At least 12 months experience is required working on slate roofs. Copper roofing experience a plus but not a must.
n
- The applicant must be hardworking, reliable and presentable
n
- Applicant must be able to carry out jobs from start to finish without supervision
n
- Applicants must hold Working at Heights Certificate and White Card
n
