About the role
Glory EV Group is an independent BYD dealer in Australia. As our business and dealership network continue to grow, we are seeking a reliable, organised, detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Officer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who understands the Australian automotive dealership environment and can independently manage day-to-day HR matters.
Key responsibilities
- Manage recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews and following up on employee onboarding
- Manage employee onboarding, probation, position changes and offboarding processes
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts, offer letters, contract variations and other HR documentation
- Establish, implement and maintain employee attendance and rostering systems
- Collect and verify attendance, working hours and leave information, and assist the finance team with preparing payroll information
- Maintain accurate, complete and confidential employee records
- Respond to general employee enquiries and assist with employee relations and workplace matters
- Support dealership managers with day-to-day HR, attendance and staffing requirements
- Assist in ensuring HR processes comply with Fair Work requirements, the National Employment Standards, applicable Modern Awards and company policies
- Develop and update HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks
About you
- Previous experience in human resources, recruitment, people administration or a similar role
- Sound knowledge of the Australian automotive dealership, automotive retail or a closely related automotive working environment
- Understanding of Modern Awards, employee classifications and basic remuneration requirements relevant to the automotive industry
- Experience preparing and managing employment contracts, onboarding, position changes and termination documentation
- Experience implementing or administering an employee attendance, rostering or HR system
- Basic payroll support experience, with the ability to accurately prepare and verify attendance and payroll-related information
- Knowledge of Australian Fair Work requirements and the National Employment Standards
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Mandarin Chinese communication skills will be highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately
- Excellent organisational, communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
