Are you a senior Information Management leader with experience delivering complex maturity assessments, leading executive stakeholder engagements, and driving outcomes in government or healthcare environments?

We are seeking an experienced IM Lead/Engagement Lead / Principal IM Maturity Consultant to lead a high-profile Information Management Maturity Assessment engagement across two major Victorian Government departments.

About the Role

? Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)

? Duration: Full-time, 5-week contract (5 October 2026 – 6 November 2026)

? Security Requirement: Must be eligible to meet ISSRA requirements

? Executive Engagement: Regular interaction with CIO-level stakeholders The Chance

This role will serve as the single point of accountability for the successful delivery of Information Management Maturity Assessments across two large government organisations. You will own the methodology, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and successful delivery against a fixed external reporting deadline.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead the overall assessment methodology, ensuring a consistent, evidence-based and risk-focused approach

✅ Chair executive moderation workshops and present findings to CIO and senior leadership stakeholders

✅ Provide status reporting, risk management,



and delivery oversight throughout the engagement

✅ Act as the escalation point for disputed ratings, evidence gaps, and assessment challenges

✅ Oversee quality assurance and final sign-off of submission-ready assessment packages

✅ Lead the development of strategic uplift and improvement roadmaps

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

✔️ 10+ years' experience in Information Management, Records Management, Information Governance, or Data Governance

✔️ Proven delivery of Information Management maturity assessments, ideally using PROV IM3 or comparable frameworks

✔️ Experience facilitating and leading discussions with C-suite and CIO-level stakeholders

✔️ Strong consulting and stakeholder management capability within complex organisations

✔️ Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under fixed deadlines and tight mobilisation timelines

Highly Desirable

⭐ Health sector consulting or delivery experience (State or Federal)

⭐ Victorian Government experience

⭐ Knowledge of Whole of Victorian Government Information Management Standards

⭐ Experience working across multiple client organisations or shared service environments
