About the Role

Join the Industrial Relations Branch within the People and Workforce Group at the Premier's Department. Be part of a team that helps workers, employers and members of the public understand their workplace rights and obligations. The team delivers trusted advice, supports compliance activities and contributes to fair workplaces across NSW.

As an Industrial Enquiries Officer, you'll help people navigate the Long Service Leave Act 1955 and other NSW industrial relations legislation. Every interaction is an opportunity to provide clarity, solve problems and support positive outcomes for the community.

The role offers variety and challenge. Responsibilities include responding to phone and online enquiries, assessing complaints, preparing correspondence and maintaining accurate records. Success comes from delivering timely, accurate information and a great customer experience.

We're Looking For

- Customer Service & Communication:



Experience delivering high-quality customer service and communicating information clearly and professionally across a range of channels, including telephone and written correspondence.
- Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: Ability to assess enquiries, identify key issues, exercise sound judgement and provide accurate information while managing competing priorities.
- Teamwork & Administration: Strong organisational skills, experience maintaining records and databases, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve team outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
