The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Insurance Operations Advisor to join our Growth & Acquisition team based in Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity for an insurance, sales operations or customer service professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting business growth and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Reporting to the National Manager - Growth Operations, you will play a key role in supporting national new business acquisition, retention and growth initiatives across Miga's medical insurance segments. You will be responsible for responding to enquiries, converting leads into opportunities and policies, supporting outbound campaigns, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for prospective members and clients.

Working closely with Business Development Advisors, Underwriting and other internal stakeholders, you will help drive growth outcomes while ensuring all interactions are delivered professionally, efficiently and in accordance with compliance and underwriting requirements.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Respond to inbound enquiries across phone, email, web and campaign channels within agreed service standards
- Issue quotes, conduct follow-up activities and assist in converting enquiries into policies and memberships
- Support outbound calling campaigns to follow up leads, quotes and nurtured opportunities
- Provide accurate information regarding policy coverage, exclusions, conditions and member benefits
- Liaise with customers, Underwriting and internal stakeholders to support a smooth onboarding experience
- Identify non-standard risks and facilitate referral to Underwriting when required
- Maintain accurate customer,



lead and opportunity records within Salesforce and related systems
- Monitor customer progression through the lead, quote and application lifecycle
- Support student, intern and hospital doctor engagement activities and events
- Assist with reporting, sales operations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute to process improvement opportunities
- Provide operational and administrative support to the broader Growth & Acquisition team

What we’re looking for

Success in this role comes from strong customer service skills, attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. We're seeking someone who brings:
- Experience in insurance, financial services, sales operations, customer service or a similar role
- Proven ability to manage customer enquiries and follow-up activities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience converting enquiries into successful outcomes through proactive relationship management
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines




- Commitment to delivering high-quality service and maintaining compliance standards

Desirable:

- Experience within general insurance, professional indemnity or medical indemnity insurance
- Understanding of underwriting processes and insurance products
- Experience supporting lead generation campaigns, business development initiatives or events
- Experience working within a regulated environment
- ANZIIF qualifications or industry accreditation

Qualifications:

- Hold and maintain Tier 2 education requirements in accordance with ASIC PS146
- Tier 1 qualifications highly regarded
