We have an exciting opportunity to join the Business Technology (Biztech) team in a newly created role as an IT Application Manager. Working together with cross functional departments and reporting to the APAC Biztech Director, this role will partner with the business to identify technology solutions and opportunities to build efficiencies and capability. This role will be pioneer the design of improved information systems in the strategy, planning and implementation of IT applications and will lead data processing activities through formulating and implementing procedures and computer applications to drive business system solutions in line with the company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the IT application systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, including resolving IT risks and security issues
- End to end project management for developing strategies and implementing IT applications to support business needs
- Partner with various departments to identify and implement technology opportunities to improve processes and create efficiencies
- Coach and build capabilities for key stakeholders and users of IT applications
- Partner with the global Corporate IT team in overseeing and supervising the IT application function, external suppliers and consultants




- Provide technical support in the development and enhancement of data processing systems
- Monitor and manage capacity of the systems, application maintenance including trouble shooting to ensure systems operate smoothly and manage the control policy on software packages
- Oversee the sustainability of applications including managing the procedures, policies and guidelines for each application
- Create contingency plans and back-up systems to ensure business continuity of applications
- This role will have one direct report – Vendor Development Lead

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related fields
- Strong experience in IT Application strategy, development and implementation for medium to large organisations.
- Strong technical skills in Ms. SQL, System Integrations and Database Management
- Robust project management experience in transformation supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in implementing standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
- Strong business partnering with ability to work with cross functional stakeholders at all levels to deliver positive technology outcomes
- Proven ability to work independently, collaborate with stakeholders and lead direct reports
- Strong resilience and agility with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in consulting and leading application projects within FMCG would be highly desirable
- Advantageous if you have experience in e-Commerce, ERP, or TPM solutions
