Your Impact

As our IT Application Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for the operational stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications across Transdev Australasia.

You'll act as the bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, external vendors, and project teams, ensuring our applications are reliable, secure, and effectively supported throughout their lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving systems, and driving the shift from reactive support to proactive application management.

What You'll Do

- Take ownership of the operational health, performance, and availability of assigned business applications.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex application incidents, coordinating with vendors and technical teams where required.
- Drive problem management activities, identifying recurring issues and implementing permanent improvements.
- Manage application changes through impact assessment, testing, deployment, and validation.
- Act as the primary liaison with application vendors, managing escalations, upgrades, and SLA performance.
- Develop and maintain application support documentation, knowledge articles, runbooks, and support procedures.
- Partner with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to maintain secure and compliant applications.
- Support application implementations, upgrades, migrations,



and transitions into business-as-usual support.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and optimisation.
- Participate in an on-call roster for critical application support and escalations.

What You Bring

Experience & Qualifications:

- Minimum 4 years' experience in application support, business systems administration, or IT operations within a medium to large enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting line-of-business applications across complex multi-vendor environments.
- Strong understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management aligned to ITIL practices.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, escalations, and SLA performance.
- Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar.
- Familiarity with SaaS, COTS, and on-premises applications and integrations.
- ITIL Foundation certification required.
- Relevant platform certifications (Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, etc.) highly regarded.

- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently when required.
