About Beevo
Beevo is a Melbourne-based business operating at the intersection of commercial property and essential services. The group comprises two entities: Beevo, a well-established business that connects new commercial tenants to essential utilities and services — including electricity, gas, waste, telecommunications, and financial services — and Leasey, a new SaaS platform currently in an accelerated growth phase that digitises the commercial leasing journey for real estate agents and tenants.
Together, Beevo is building a connected ecosystem that simplifies and modernises the commercial tenancy experience from end to end. As the group grows across both its established operations and its emerging technology platform, managing our technology spend intelligently and keeping our internal systems running smoothly are essential to our continued success. This role is a key hire that will bring structure and visibility to how we manage and optimise our technology investments — while ensuring our team has reliable, secure tools to do their best work.
About the Role
Core Responsibilities
At the heart of this role is ownership of Beevo’s day-to-day technology environment. You’ll be the first point of contact for internal IT support — managing hardware, software, endpoints, and devices across the business, keeping systems secure and compliant, and ensuring staff have the tools they need to do their best work. This is a hands-on, autonomous role that requires someone dependable, organised, and comfortable taking full ownership of the internal IT function without needing to be directed.
You’ll work closely with the lead software engineer who can provide guidance and context on more complex infrastructure matters, but the expectation is that you operate independently across the day-to-day.
The Opportunity
Beyond the operational foundation, this role carries a genuinely exciting brief: to reshape and improve Beevo’s technology landscape from the ground up.
We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious about how technology is being used across a business, who asks the right questions, and who has the drive to act on what they find. That means digging into our current SaaS subscriptions, software licences, and vendor arrangements — understanding what we have, what we’re actually using, and where we’re spending more than we should — and building a clearer, smarter picture of our technology investment.
This isn’t just cost-cutting for its own sake. It’s about giving the business a stronger foundation: eliminating waste, improving visibility, and making sure every tool we invest in is earning its place. The right candidate will have done this kind of work before — they’ll know how to audit a tech stack, spot the opportunities others miss, and build the processes that make sure good decisions stick.
If you’re someone who finds genuine satisfaction in understanding how a business works and making it better through technology,
this role offers real scope to leave your mark.
Key Responsibilities
Software & Vendor Cost Management (Priority Focus)
- Conduct a full audit of Beevo’s existing SaaS subscriptions, software licences, and vendor contracts to identify redundancy, underutilisation, and savings opportunities.
- Build and maintain a centralised software and licence register, tracking spend, renewal dates, utilisation, and contract terms across all tools and platforms.
- Identify and eliminate unused or duplicate subscriptions, and recommend right-sizing of licences based on actual usage.
- Establish a procurement process for recent software and technology requests, ensuring purchases are evaluated, approved, and tracked consistently.
- Research, analyse, and build detailed reports and evidence packages that demonstrate where cost savings are achievable — including usage data, benchmarking, and contract analysis — to support informed decision-making by relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with decision makers and relevant stakeholders to present findings and recommendations, equipping them with the information they need to lead vendor renegotiations and contract decisions.
- Report regularly to the Lead Software Engineer on technology spend, savings identified, and upcoming renewal decisions.
Internal IT Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal IT issues, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding of staff, including device setup, account provisioning, and access management.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
- Coordinate with the Lead Software Engineer on escalated issues that require deeper infrastructure knowledge.
Endpoint & Device Management
- Manage and maintain all company devices including laptops, desktops, and mobile endpoints.
- Oversee antivirus, patch management, and device compliance across the organisation.
- Ensure devices meet security and compliance standards at all times.
Network & Security Administration
- Maintain corporate network configuration, VPN access, and associated security controls.
- Manage and audit user access controls across all business systems and platforms.
- Monitor for and triage security incidents, escalating to the Lead Software Engineer where appropriate.
- Support the enforcement of IT security policies across the organisation.
Skills & ExperienceRequired
- A curious, driven mindset with a proven track record of stepping back, assessing how a business uses technology, and making it better — not just maintaining the status quo.
- Hands-on experience managing software licences, SaaS subscriptions, or vendor contracts with a clear focus on cost visibility and optimisation.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach — able to identify savings opportunities and act on them independently.
- 2+ years in an IT support, systems administration, or IT operations role.
- Experience managing endpoints and devices across Windows and/or macOS environments.
- Familiarity with user access management and identity platforms (e.g. Active Directory, Google Workspace, or similar).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience building or managing a software asset management (SAM) or IT asset management (ITAM) process.
- Familiarity with procurement workflows and approval frameworks.
- Experience in a SaaS or technology business environment.
- Familiarity with MDM (Mobile Device Management) platforms.
- Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of Australian data privacy obligations (Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles).
- Experience with IT ticketing or service management tools.
Reporting Structure & Team Context This role reports directly to the Lead Software Engineer, who can provide support and context on more complex infrastructure matters. While this is not a people management role, you’ll have clear ownership of both the IT support function and the technology procurement portfolio — with real opportunity to demonstrate measurable impact on the business’s bottom line.
What We Offer
- A role with genuine commercial impact — the opportunity to demonstrably reduce technology costs and shape how Beevo invests in its tools.
- Clear ownership of the internal IT function within a growing SaaS business.
- A supportive team environment with access to an experienced Lead Software Engineer.
- On-site role based in Melbourne, VIC.
- $75,000 – $85,000 base per annum, dependent on experience.
- A genuine growth path as Beevo and Leasey continue to expand.
- A collaborative, mission-driven team working on an exciting product in the commercial property sector.
How to Apply To apply, please submit your resume and a cover letter that speaks to your experience assessing and improving how a business uses technology — including any examples of cost saving opportunities you have identified, evidence you have built, or processes you have improved. We’d also love to hear about your background in IT support and systems administration. Applications should be directed to Beevo’s hiring team. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Please note: This role is open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, or candidates with full working rights in Australia. Offshore or remote-from-overseas applications will not be considered.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
