Employment Consultant - WFA Ex-Offenders Program
Location: Fortitude Valley, QLD
Employment Type: Full-Time Fixed Term (Until 30 June 2027)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Salary: $72,000 - $77,000 + Super + Bonus + Salary Packaging

About the Role
We are seeking a resilient and motivated Employment Consultant to join a specialist Workforce Australia Ex-Offenders Program based in Fortitude Valley.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about changing lives through employment. Working with a diverse caseload, you will support participants with complex barriers to employment, helping them develop skills, access training opportunities and secure sustainable jobs within the local labour market.
You will balance participant support, employer engagement and compliance responsibilities while working towards employment outcome targets in a fast-paced and rewarding workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Participant Support & Case Management

- Manage a diverse caseload of participants accessing the Ex-Offenders Program.
- Conduct appointments to identify employment goals, barriers and support requirements.




- Develop tailored action plans to support participants into sustainable employment.
- Provide coaching, guidance and ongoing support throughout the employment journey.
- Assist participants with retraining, upskilling and career development opportunities.

Employment Outcomes & Employer Engagement

- Develop relationships with local employers and industry stakeholders.
- Identify suitable vacancies and employment opportunities.
- Match participants to employment opportunities aligned with their skills and goals.
- Promote participant capabilities to employers through proactive engagement and reverse marketing.
- Support participants through job applications, interviews and placement activities.

Performance & Compliance

- Maintain accurate participant records and activity notes.
- Work within Workforce Australia contractual requirements and guidelines.
- Achieve placement, outcome and activity targets.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure all documentation and administrative requirements are completed accurately and on time.

- Previous administration experience.

- Resilience when supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Sound computer and digital literacy skills.
- A genuine passion for helping people achieve sustainable employment.

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to work towards KPIs and performance targets.
- Ability to obtain or hold a Blue Card.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check with no adverse outcomes.
