A leading quantitative trading firm is looking for a Compliance Surveillance Officer to join its growing team in Sydney.

Responsibilities

- Investigate trade surveillance alerts and unusual trading activities.
n
- Monitor for potential market abuse and trading conduct risks.
n
- Review electronic communications alerts and follow through to resolution.
n
- Analyse trading and market data to identify trends and exceptions.
n
- Support the enhancement of surveillance systems and controls.
n
- Assist with compliance monitoring and regulatory initiatives.
n
- Work closely with Trading, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams.
n

Requirements

n

n
- 3+ years of experience in Trade Surveillance, Market Surveillance, Compliance Monitoring, or a related area.
n




- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
n
- Understanding of financial markets and trading activity.
n
- Experience with SQL and/or Python is highly preferred.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
n
