We are a well-established CPA firm based in the centre of Parramatta, providing a comprehensive range of business advisory, taxation, accounting and finance services, seeking an enthusiastic Junior/Intermediate Accountant with long term aspirations to join our team.

Working closely within a small team, you will be involved in a broad range of accounting, taxation and finance matters. As the role develops, you will gain exposure to more complex work, including client restructures, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs), together with increased client interaction and responsibility.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing Business Activity Statements
- Preparing Income Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships and companies
- Preparing financial statements and associated compliance work
- Assisting with a range of accounting, taxation and finance matters
- Liaising with clients and responding to their accounting and taxation needs
- Working both independently and collaboratively as part of the wider team





Essential skills and attributes

- Relevant experience in public practice accounting
- Experience preparing Business Activity Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships and companies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Robust customer service skills and a client-focused approach
- A bright, outgoing and confident personality
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience using MYOB and Xero Client Accounting Software
- Experience using MYOB AE Practice Software
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
