About the role
We have an opening for an ongoing Lead Application Services within our Business Systems business unit that would suit a seasoned application support professional with experience in a similar role.
The Electoral
Commission is an exciting and rapid paced place to work with a highly collaborative culture and strong public purpose. We are looking for someone with a track record of supporting a diverse range of applications to lead a support team that provides a range of services to support software systems in the delivery of state-wide elections. This requires the management of key application support activities against very tight deadlines. This exciting opportunity will suit an experienced Team Lead with strong vendor management skills, the ability to proactively build relationships with senior stakeholders and a track record of driving service excellence in application support and management. Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team, including managing performance and team capability.
- Strong technical understanding and proven experience supporting a range of business and enterprise systems, software, platforms and technologies, such as Microsoft .Net, Managengine, Microsoft SharePoint, JIRA, MS SQL Server, Content Manager, Microsoft Power platform, or similar.
- ITIL V3 or V4 certification, and/or equivalent relevant experience and a track record of driving IT Service Management (ITSM) best practice and continual
- Financial acumen and budget management capability with experience in efficient management of software licenses and software related contracts.
- Proven experience in vendor management including management of application vendors,
managed services and other providers to drive efficiencies and deliver business benefits and service improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences including strong written and presentation skills.
- Strong track record in engaging at a technical level with teams to maximise individual team member and overall team performance
- Relevant tertiary qualification.

- Running and regulating elections
