About the role:

Lead the people agenda at a major residential mining operation in Central West New South Wales.

Partner with operational leaders to build a high-performing, compliant and engaged workforce. Shape practical people strategies that deliver safe, sustainable business outcomes.

This is a visible, site-based leadership role with the opportunity to influence workforce capability, culture and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide trusted, commercially focused advice to project leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
- Lead strategic workforce planning that aligns talent, capability and resourcing with operational priorities.
- Manage complex employee and labour relations matters, including collective bargaining agreement compliance.
- Conduct non-escalated business integrity and compliance investigations with fairness, discretion and sound judgement.
- Oversee disciplinary processes, case management and labour risk mitigation, including preparation for potential industrial unrest.
- Deliver enterprise people programs, engagement initiatives and listening surveys that strengthen culture and performance.
- Use workforce data, trends and insights to identify risks,



improve processes and support informed decisions.
- Lead, coach and develop a capable People team through clear priorities, constructive feedback and recognition.
- Champion change management initiatives and foster an inclusive, collaborative workplace where people can thrive.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Robust working knowledge of Australian employment law, HR best practice and industrial relations frameworks.
- Proven experience managing employee relations, investigations, disciplinary matters and workplace risk.
- Confidence influences senior operational leaders in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, advisory and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate people's data into practical action.
- A leadership style that is calm, credible, inclusive and outcomes focused.

About you

Must either reside in/near Orange, NSW or, able to Fly in Fly out of preferred city in Australia on a negotiable roster eg.Roster considerations are, in order of preference:

1. 5 days on/2 days off/4 days on/3 days off (10 hour days)
2. 9 days on/ 5 days off (10 hour days)
3. 8 days on/ 6 days off (11 hour days)
