We're growing, and we're after a qualified carpenter ready to take the next step — into a Leading Hand role that puts you on the path to full-time site supervision.
This is a working supervisor role — part on the tools, part running the show. It suits a qualified carpenter who's ready to spend less time swinging a hammer and more time managing the job, the trades and the client. If your long game is to become a full-time supervisor, this is the role that gets you there.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing trade staff and subcontractors on site, keeping everyone on task and to standard
- Ordering materials and making sure they land on site when they're needed
- Running projects to schedule — spotting the hold-ups before they cost us time
- Quality control across each job so it's finished right and ready to hand over
- Getting on the tools when the job calls for it, without it being the main part of your day
What you'll bring
- Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent) and solid time on the tools
- Experience across construction and maintenance work
- The ability to read a program and keep a site running to it
- An eye for quality and a habit of finishing work properly
- Valuable communication with trades, suppliers and clients
- White Card, driver's licence, and a reliable trade vehicle (ute or van)
