About the role

NEO Tiling Contractors is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Tiler to join our dynamic team in Brisbane, QLD 4000. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to lead tiling projects and mentor junior staff members. As a Leading Hand Tiler, you will take on a supervisory and technical role, overseeing tiling operations on site whilst maintaining the high standards of craftsmanship that NEO Tiling Contractors is known for.

This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to exceptional quality standards.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and supervise tiling teams on various residential and commercial projects

- Plan and coordinate tiling work schedules, ensuring efficient project progression

- Prepare and maintain tiling site areas, including substrate preparation and waterproofing

- Conduct quality inspections of completed tiling work to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications

- Mentor and train junior tilers, providing guidance on techniques, safety practices and professional standards

- Liaise with project managers, site supervisors and clients to communicate project updates and address any concerns

- Manage materials and tools, maintaining inventory and ensuring proper storage and maintenance

- Identify and resolve on-site challenges, implementing practical solutions to maintain productivity

- Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members

- Maintain detailed records of work completed, including time sheets and project documentation

What we're looking for

- Minimum 8 years of professional tiling experience with a solid track record in residential and commercial projects

- Formal qualifications or extensive demonstrated expertise in tiling and tile-setting techniques

- Proven supervisory or leading hand experience, with the ability to manage and mentor team members effectively

- Strong knowledge of waterproofing, substrate preparation,



and adhesive systems

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple sites across Brisbane

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively

- Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding work
