Learning and Development Advisor
Morwell | Part Time (30.4 hours per week)
Fixed Term (5/10/2026 – 31/12/2026) | Band 6: $50.68 - $54.97
Hybrid working arrangements, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office as part of our approach to collaboration and team connection We're looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join our People & Culture team. In this role, you'll help build workforce capability across Council by designing and delivering impactful learning programs, supporting leadership development and creating opportunities for people to learn, grow and succeed.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career in learning and development, organisational development or human resources. You'll gain hands-on experience designing and delivering learning programs, leading workforce capability initiatives and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to make a meaningful impact.

What You’ll be Doing
- Design, coordinate and facilitate learning, leadership development and workforce capability initiatives that support organisational priorities.
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Council's corporate induction,
internal learning catalogue and development pathways.
- Coordinate and enhance Council's Performance Development Program, including resources, communications and continuous improvement activities.
- Support and develop trainee, apprentice and early careers programs that contribute to workforce development and succession planning.
- Partner with leaders and employees to identify capability needs and develop practical learning solutions.
- Evaluate learning outcomes and use feedback and data to continuously improve programs and initiatives.
About You
You are passionate about helping others learn, grow and succeed. You bring experience designing, developing and facilitating learning programs, resources and capability initiatives, along with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across a diverse workforce.
Experience in learning and development, organisational development, human resources or a related field will help you succeed in this role. You'll enjoy working collaboratively to create practical learning solutions that support leadership development, workforce capability and early careers programs.
Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant qualification in Learning and Development, Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related discipline, or relevant experience.
- Experience designing, developing, facilitating and evaluating learning solutions that build workforce capability and support organisational priorities.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to gain commitment and drive capability outcomes across a diverse workforce.
- Knowledge of trainee, apprentice, early careers and workforce development programs, including effective engagement with education providers, participants and workplace stakeholders.
