CargiantWA is looking for a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team based in Jandakot on a full time basis.

The Light Vehicle Mechanic maintains, tests and repairs petrol/diesel engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles like transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.

Tasks for the position

Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in egines and parts

Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check vehicle parts.

Repair as well as replace worn out and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed

Conduct scheduled maintenance services, like oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with emission standards





Reassemble engines and parts after repairs

Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired to ensure performance standards are met

Diagnose and test parts using computers

Skills and experience

Cert 3 or relevant trade qualification - essential

Minimum 3 years previous experience as a mechanic

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Current Drivers licence

Salary starts from $79,423
