The opportunity Delaware North Australia is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the Finance team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Finance and Business Support, this newly created role is responsible for managing site financial reporting, analysis, and commercial performance within designated areas of our multi-faceted business.

Partnering closely with operational leaders, you will provide financial leadership, commercial insight, and robust governance to support informed decision-making, enhance profitability, and deliver strategic outcomes. You will lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What will you do?

- Lead all accounting, financial control, and reporting activities
- Prepare and consolidate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, forecasts, budgets, and management reports
- Oversee payroll reporting and analysis, providing accurate and meaningful labour cost insights to support operational decision-making
- Maintain robust financial controls, stocktake and inventory management processes,



and cash handling procedures to ensure compliance
- Partner with operational leaders to deliver commercial insights, identify performance trends, and drive profitability across the business
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and risk management outcomes
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, system enhancements, process improvements, and key finance projects to support business growth and operational excellence

More about you

- Tertiary qualification with CA/CPA or equivalent accreditation
- 3–5 years’ experience in a leadership role in management accounting, financial reporting, or commercial finance within a complex operating environment
- Strong people leadership skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Proven success in driving revenue growth, maximising profitability, and providing commercial leadership within gaming, hotel, hospitality or related environments
- Advanced financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Highly adaptable, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and support a range of business functions as required
- Ability to hit the ground running and contribute effectively from commencement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, an NT Casino Operative Licence
