Our Business Advisory Services team is a core part of the firm's growth strategy, and we're looking for an experienced Manager to lead client engagements, mentor junior staff, and help shape the future of the practice.

About the Role

As a Manager in our Business Advisory Services division, you'll take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, delivering compliance, tax, and strategic advisory services while acting as a trusted advisor to business owners. You'll play a key role in managing engagements end-to-end, developing junior team members, and identifying opportunities to add value for clients beyond the numbers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of SME and private business clients across various industries, acting as their primary point of contact
- Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, income tax returns, and management reports
- Provide proactive business advisory services, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
- Identify and advise on tax planning opportunities and structuring for clients
- Review work completed by graduates and intermediate accountants, providing technical guidance and feedback




- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability
- Support the Partner group with business development and client pitches
- Contribute to the training, mentoring, and career development of junior team members
- Stay current on changes in tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry developments

About You
- CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in public practice, ideally within a mid-tier or top-tier firm
- Strong technical knowledge across tax, accounting standards, and business advisory services
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and engagement delivery
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior staff
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for clients
- Strong commercial acumen and a genuine interest in helping businesses grow
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, CCH, or similar)
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities
