Manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion | Contract Role | 6 Months A NSW Government agency responsible for planning, industry, environmental management and community services across the state is seeking an experienced Manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to lead the design and delivery of organisation-wide diversity and inclusion programs.

Leading a small specialist team, you will design, implement and monitor programs that promote diversity and inclusion in line with NSW Government priorities, ensure legislative compliance, and partner with senior leaders to embed inclusive practices across the organisation.

Role Snapshot

- Contract duration: 6 months, with an immediate start
- Location: Western Sydney or CBD
- Working arrangement: Hybrid
- Hours: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
- Pay rate: $820 - $940 per day + Superannuation (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

- Design, lead and manage the development and implementation of organisation-wide diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives, strengthening the creation of an inclusive work environment
- Design, oversee and communicate events and initiatives that reflect organisational values and build a positive culture
- Oversee the governance framework and management of the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee, monitoring legislative changes to ensure compliance
- Lead a specialised team to provide expert advice and support on diversity and inclusion programs,



ensuring service standards and legislative/policy requirements are met
- Conduct research into diversity and inclusion best practice, tailoring initiatives to the organisation's unique needs
- Develop and review programs, business processes and policies to attract and retain a diverse workforce, including delivering education programs
- Partner with managers and executives to develop and implement diversity strategies that shape an inclusive organisational culture
- Interpret data and prepare reports on the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion programs, providing recommendations to inform leadership decisions

About You

- Significant experience and/or qualifications in human resources, diversity and inclusion, or a related discipline
- Proven experience designing and delivering diversity, equity and inclusion strategies within a complex organisation, ideally in the public sector
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups
- Sound understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements relating to diversity and inclusion
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to lead and develop a small specialist team
- Robust analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data to inform program effectiveness and recommendations
