Manager, Real Estate Equity & Recent Products | Sydney A leading Australian real estate investment manager is seeking a Manager, Real Estate Equity & New Products to join its capital markets function.
This is a high-visibility role at the centre of the business's growth agenda, responsible for developing new investment products, structuring capital solutions and executing transactions.
The role
- Lead research and analysis on new product development initiatives, identifying trends and opportunities across new and existing real estate markets
- Drive and coordinate pitchbooks, investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders, including third-party capital providers
- Perform and review financial modelling for new and existing transactions, product initiatives and strategic initiatives
- Optimise transaction and fund structuring (tax and accounting) in partnership with external advisors
- Manage transaction documentation, due diligence processes and RFI responses from institutional capital
- Prepare and review transaction materials including term sheets, Investment Committee papers and board papers
- Manage relationships with advisors and capital partners, including preparing updates and presentations for capital providers
- Work collaboratively with outsourced legal, tax, accounting, due diligence and investment banking providers
- Partner closely with Finance, asset management, acquisitions and development teams on product and transaction execution
- Support Investment Committee processes and senior management reporting
About you
- Approximately 10 years' relevant experience in real estate capital markets, investment banking or structured finance
- Background from an institutional investment manager, limited partner or advisory environment, with established understanding of unlisted fund products, the listed environment and LP requirements
- Proven track record executing real estate equity transactions, including M&A;
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of institutional investment structures, capital structures, funding sources and risk management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced investment environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; CFA, CA, CPA or MBA advantageous
