Hands-on work. Great team. Learn new skills. Build something that matters. We are currently seeking a Production & Assembly Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment specialising in the assembly of truck axles.
This is a hands-on production role involving the assembly of brake and suspension components onto truck axles.
The position would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is physically capable, takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team.
About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assembling brake and suspension components onto truck axles
- Using a range of hand and power tools
- Operating overhead cranes to safely move components
- Operating forklifts as required
- Following production processes, work instructions and quality standards
- Reading and interpreting basic drawings and assembly instructions
- Working efficiently to meet daily production requirements
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
- Taking responsibility for the quality of your own work
- Undertaking other production and warehouse duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience in a manufacturing, production, mechanical or assembly environment
- Previous truck assembly or heavy vehicle manufacturing experience will be highly regarded
- Be confident using hand and power tools
- Be physically capable of performing manual and repetitive tasks
- Be comfortable working in a busy production environment
- Have valuable attention to detail
- Have a strong focus on safety and quality
- Be reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Have valuable communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
- Hold a current forklift licence and/or have overhead crane experience (highly regarded)
