The Role:

We’re looking for a Transport Allocator to join our ICL team in Port Melbourne. You’ll coordinate customer orders and external transport providers, allocating cement loads from our Port Melbourne and Yarraville sites to customers and job sites across Victoria and into NSW. The role is varied and hands-on, combining transport coordination, dispatch, inventory management and administration. You’ll monitor daily loads, manage delivery requirements and help ensure the right product gets to the right place at the right time.

What you’ll be doing:

- Coordinate daily cement orders and allocate loads to external transport providers
- Plan and monitor deliveries from our Port Melbourne and Yarraville sites to customers and job sites across Victoria
- Manage orders and delivery requirements across phone, email and electronic ordering systems
- Monitor vehicle movements, loading activity and dispatch through GPS and weighbridge systems
- Coordinate product blending requirements and monitor inventory across both sites
- Work with transport providers and internal teams to manage changes, diversions and delivery requirements
- Maintain accurate transport records, dockets, manifests and daily run sheets
- Complete transport reporting and support compliance and continuous improvement activities
- Provide a high level of service by ensuring orders are accurately allocated and deliveries stay on track

About you:

You’ll be organised, level-headed and comfortable managing a high volume of customer and carrier enquiries while keeping multiple priorities moving. Strong communication, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. You don’t need to have worked as a Transport Allocator before - we’re happy to train the right person who brings the right attitude and a willingness to learn.





You’ll ideally bring:

- Experience in customer service, transport, logistics, scheduling, dispatch or a similar fast-paced environment
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment
- A calm and practical approach to problem solving

The roster:

This role works on a set rotating roster with on-call duties after hours.

Week 1: Monday–Wednesday, 6am–6pm

Week 2: Thursday–Saturday, 6am–6pm
