Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

We have an exciting chance for a driven Business Development Manager to join a dynamic and growing Freight Forwarding solutions provider. Commissions are uncapped, and you have no limitations of who you can sell to.

Reporting to the General Manager, your remit will be to open doors and get to understand your clients needs. You will present a range of solutions, and have the ability to turn conversations into contracts. Key functions of the role include:

- Hunting down and closing new business – not just following up warm leads
- Getting an understand of a client’s supply chain to figure out what they actually need (then solving it)
- Building relationships that last years
- Understanding the freight industry so you’re pitching solutions before clients know they need them
- Teaming up with Account Managers and Operations to make sure we deliver what you promise
- Putting together strong proposals and pitches
- Negotiating and closing deals

What you will bring to the role:





- Experience in business development or sales – ideally in freight, logistics, or supply chain, but we care more about drive than a perfect CV match
- A track record of hitting (and beating) targets
- Sharp communication and negotiation skills – you can read a room and close a deal
- Strategic thinking – you spot the opportunity before everyone else does
- Comfort with a fast-moving, no-two-days-the-same environment
