About the Business

AceForm Group Pty Ltd is a New South Wales construction company specialising in formwork, steel fixing and concreting for residential and commercial projects. Our formwork expertise ensures that structures are built with precision and efficiency, using innovative techniques and high-quality materials to achieve optimal results, while our steel fixing services reinforce structures with the strength and durability that give them stability and longevity. Our concreting solutions deliver seamless, flawless finishes — surfaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but built to withstand the test of time. Operating from our Burwood office across active sites throughout Sydney, we bring together a team of carpenters, steel fixers, concreters and site supervisors under experienced team leaders, and we are committed to delivering top-notch solutions that exceed expectations and ensure the success of every project we undertake.

About the Position

We are seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our project delivery team, working across our residential and commercial construction sites under the direction of a Team Leader. The role covers the full range of structural and finishing carpentry — interpreting drawings, setting out and constructing frames and roof structures, installing fittings and completing renovation and maintenance work — while overseeing a small crew of four site personnel and coordinating daily with builders,

subcontractors and other trades. It is a hands-on position central to the quality, safety and programme performance of every job we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications to determine the scope, sequence and materials required for each task.
- Measure, mark and cut timber and other construction materials accurately to the required dimensions and tolerances.
- Construct and install wall frames, floor frames, roof structures and other timber components.
- Install doors, windows, architraves, skirting boards and associated fittings and fixtures.
- Construct decks, pergolas, stairs and other outdoor structures.
- Undertake renovation, repair and maintenance work on residential and commercial properties.
- Operate hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently, and maintain them in valuable working order.
- Inspect and check completed work to confirm it meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Supervise and direct a small team of site personnel, allocating tasks and ensuring work is completed to standard.
- Work closely with builders, supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to coordinate activities across the site.

- Maintain a clean and safe worksite and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.
- Estimate material requirements for allocated tasks and minimise material wastage.
- Complete carpentry work within agreed project schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Certificate III in Carpentry.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
- Demonstrated ability to read and work from architectural drawings, plans and specifications, and to set out and construct timber structures to those specifications.
- Competence in the safe operation of carpentry hand tools and power tools, including circular saws, mitre saws, nail guns, drills and levelling equipment, together with a current White Card (Construction Induction).
- Working knowledge of workplace health and safety obligations on active construction sites, including safe work method statements, site inductions and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to estimate material requirements accurately and control wastage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to direct and support a small crew.
- A reliable, safety-focused approach, sound problem-solving ability and the flexibility to work across different sites as project requirements change.
