About the Opportunity
KAMS is seeking a passionate, culturally informed and highly organised Kimberley Men’s Health Coordinator to lead the development, coordination and implementation of initiatives that improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal men across the Kimberley. Based in Broome, this strategic role will work across KAMS and in partnership with Member Services, Aboriginal communities, the Kimberley Regional Aboriginal Men’s Health Sub-Committee (KRAMHS) and external partners to strengthen and progress men’s health priorities across the region.
The Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of the KRAMHS Health Strategy, annual work plans and priority initiatives, ensuring activities are aligned with the KRAMHS Strategic Plan and responsive to the needs and priorities identified by Aboriginal men and communities.
A key component of the role will include building strong relationships and supporting meaningful consultation and engagement with Aboriginal men, including those living in remote communities. The position will contribute to the development of culturally safe, innovative and community-driven approaches to men's health activities and provide first hand knowledge obtained through community engagement on encouraging Aboriginal men to adopt a proactive mindset in being the drivers of health and wellbeing improvements for themselves and their families.
The role will also provide strategic coordination and secretariat support to the Kimberley Regional Aboriginal Men’s Health Sub Committee, ensuring members are informed of planned initiatives, priorities and opportunities, and supporting effective collaboration and implementation across the region.
The Coordinator will contribute to health promotion and wellbeing initiatives, funding opportunities,
health data and reporting, community events, workforce development, project management, evaluation & continuous improvement and supporting the ongoing identification of Kimberley Aboriginal men’s health priorities.

While you will face diverse new challenges in these roles, you will also enjoy an attractive remuneration package circa $105,843 + super.
There is also a wide range of extra benefits for the role including:
- Salary packaging;
- Accommodation Allowance - $13,000 p.a pro rata;
- District allowances - $2,920 single $5,840 double p.a pro rata;
- Electricity Allowance - $1,440 p.a pro rata;
- 5 weeks annual leave; and
- Annual Airfares to the value of $1,285 pa (after 12 months of employment).
