About the role The successful applicant will be involved in the fabrication and installation of a range of structural and architectural metalwork. The role will include working from drawings and measurements through to fabrication, welding and finishing.

Key responsibilities

- Fabricating and welding structural and architectural steelwork
- MIG and TIG welding as required
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings and plans
- Measuring, cutting, drilling and assembling metal components
- Preparing materials and components for fabrication
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within required timeframes
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
- Working both independently and within a team
- Following workplace health and safety procedures

About you

- Previous experience as a Metal Fabricator / Welder
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings




- Valuable measuring and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to producing quality workmanship
- A positive and professional attitude
- Trade qualifications and relevant experience will be highly regarded
