Position: Mining Engineer

Location: Any Australian office

Role Overview

We are looking for a Mining Engineer to join our Open Pit team in any of our Australian offices, in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth. You will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results to AMC clients.

In this role, your strong open pit mine planning skills and experience will allow you to work with other industry leading professionals to develop innovative,



practical solutions that add value to our clients projects.

The ideal candidate should have experience in completing technical mine planning combined with the development of technical documents (reports) to efficiently communicate outcomes and results to our clients. The candidate will maintain, build, and further develop client relationships as part of our project delivery and business development goals.

AMC’s Open Pit team cover a broad spectrum of services creating a varied and interesting array of projects to work on. Services include technical mining studies (spanning scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility), life of mine planning, Ore Reserve estimation, due diligence, cost estimation, reporting to JORC, NI 43-101 and similar industry codes.

Salary The salary package offered for this position will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

Skills And Competencies

Core functions

- Contribute strong technical expertise across a range of projects,



mining methods and environments.
- Provide consulting support and practical engineering solutions with a focus on open pit mine planning.
- Delivery of high-quality reports, presentations and project documentation.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and across regional offices.
- Uphold AMC’s values and standards.

Competencies

- Experience in mine planning and production scheduling.
- Good problem-solving skills, ability to take initiative and to work independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- Strong client focus with good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in relevant mining software and general computer software skills.

Qualifications And Experience

- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience, including recognized expertise in at least one primary area.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently, coupled with strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- A valid drivers license, passport, and the ability to travel internationally as required.
- Fluent in English – spoken and written. Secondary language skills viewed favourably.
- You must have working rights in the country you are employed in.
