About Stellar Speech
Stellar Speech is a fully mobile, boutique provider of speech pathology services across Western and South-West Sydney. We have a clinical focus on people with complex conditions with resulting complex communication methods and need.
As a company, we actively support clinicians to do high-quality, complex clinical work. Working with us, you can expect small caseloads, genuine flexibility, and tailored support to your experience and needs. Neurodivergent speechies are encouraged to apply and will feel right at home within our team.
We're doing excellent work and as a result, we need more hands! This is a great opportunity for a clinician who enjoys their independence and stretching their brain with complex cases and wants support from an experienced clinician without micro-management.
About the role
We are looking for the right person, which means that we're flexible about the setup. This position is for a permanent employee, but that person could be part-time or full-time. While we prefer an immediate start, we're also going to hold the spot for the right fit.
As a Stellar speechie, you will:
- Assess, plan, intervene, measure, report, and repeat.
- Build beautiful connections with people who eat, drink, and communicate in diverse ways due to permanent and significant disability.
- Visit clients at home, school, or in the community.
- Work closely with a small, collaborative team of speech pathologists, as well as our lovely admin.
- Average 3-4 visits per day (for a full-timer), with the rest of your work time reserved for clinical admin, research, reflection, supervision,
and joint visits. Load your week however it suits you and your caseload.
- Receive weekly 1:1s (full time equivalent) if you have less than 2 years of experience, moving to fortnightly for more experienced clinicians.
About you The right person for this role will:
- Be a Degree-qualified Speech Pathologist, eligible for CPSP with Speech Pathology Australia (if you graduate at the end of 2026, we still want to hear from you!).
- Hold a Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or able to obtain these checks before commencement.
- Have a Class C driver's license and access to your own vehicle for work (travel reimbursements outlined below).
- Have a genuine passion for person-centred, evidence-based practice.
- Be a great communicator. Because we work remotely, we're in touch frequently, and for your safety and support we prefer someone whose communication style works well with the demands of this role.
- Have experience working with people living with disability. While this is preferred, we're confident in our ability to teach the right applicant excited about working in this area of practice.
- Have the right to work in Australia without a visa. We are unable to sponsor visa holders at this time.
