CASUAL PART-TIME WORK AVAILABLE - FLEXIBLE DAYS/HOURS
We are looking for an experienced, reliable motorbike riders to join our team.
We are coming into the busy season and we have more work than riders, so lots of hours are on offer. For example this week we needed another full time rider. Next week we will need an extra 2 full time riders.
If you just want a couple of days a week, that is fine too.
Please note: we shut down for 3 weeks over Christmas.
This role may suit:
Experienced riders who enjoy independent outdoor work.
You must:
- Have at least 5 years' motorbike riding experience
- Hold a current motorbike licence
- Be reliable and committed to completing deliveries
- Live in South East Queensland or Northern NSW
- Be comfortable having delivery work GPS tracked for client reporting
How the work operates All flyers are prepared and boxed for delivery by the collating team. The rider picks up the boxes of flyers for delivery from the warehouse in Machinery Drive in Tweed Heads South.
There are two types of delivery rides.
1. Custom Distribution
Custom Distribution rides are client-requested deliveries to specific streets or areas, usually on a specific date.
2. Bulk Distribution
Bulk Distribution runs are regular flyer deliveries to set areas, ridden from established maps.
The Week's Work
You are assigned deliveries based on how many hours work you would like. For Bulk Distributions, you decide when you will deliver each area, as long as they are completed by the Friday of that week.
Custom Distributions have set days for delivery that the customers have booked in.
The rides are texted to you for the next week,
and you confirm the work and plan your own schedule.
For example you may have a day in Banora, a day in Palm Beach and a day in Currumbin. Which day each bulk area is delivered is up to you. Or you might plan on some 1/2 days. As long as you deliver what you have committed to deliver by Friday afternoon (weather dependent), that's all that matters.
GPS tracking
All delivery rides are GPS tracked.
A supplied GPS tracker will be provided. GPS tracking is used for delivery verification and is made available to our clients. You may also check the tracking yourself in real-time.
What you need
We supply the postie motorbike. We supply high-vis branded long-sleeve shirts and a branded hi-vis vest.
You will need a vehicle capable of transporting the motorbike and flyers from our pickup shed in Tweed Heads South to the delivery area. This can be:
- A ute
- A vehicle and trailer
- A vehicle with a suitable tow bar (we can provide a trailer or bike rack if needed)
Kilometres travelled for work are reimbursed at 88 cents per kilometre. Pay and payment The pay rate is $31.00 per hour and you will log your time in Xero Me on your phone or computer.
Payment is made every Saturday morning.
Performance and training
We will train you before you ride independently.
Training is a paid ride-along with an experienced rider. You will learn how to read a map, the GPS tracking and how to see your own tracking, and the best techniques for an productive and safe delivery.
