About the role
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work across multiple qualifications and student cohorts. You will deliver engaging and high-quality face-to-face and online training across five community services and health qualifications: CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health, CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, and CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality face-to-face and online training
- Deliver daytime and/or evening classes
- Facilitate practical and lab sessions
- Conduct assessment marking and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Conduct workplace visits and workplace assessments
- Provide individual and group student support
- Monitor student attendance, engagement and progression
- Proactively contact students who are absent or falling behind
- Support disengaged students to return to training
- Work closely with Training, Student Support and Work Placement teams
About you
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment,
or another current trainer and assessor credential that meets applicable RTO requirements
- Appropriate vocational qualifications and competencies to deliver and assess all five qualifications listed above
- Relevant and current industry skills and experience across the applicable sectors
- Strong understanding of vocational education, competency-based assessment and RTO requirements
- Excellent training, facilitation and student engagement skills
- Strong telephone and written communication skills
- Confidence proactively contacting and supporting students
- Ability to manage multiple student cohorts and priorities
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
