About The Role

Our client is seeking up to three Senior Cloud Architects / Cloud Engineers to join their CIO Group. You will play a crucial role in delivering various high-impact ICT projects, supporting the sustainable growth of Australian industries. Working in a multidisciplinary Agile environment, you will develop enterprise-level cloud architectures and provide hands-on engineering expertise.

This role requires a strategic influencer who can align technological solutions with Whole-of-Government standards while ensuring exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop enterprise-level and high-level solution architectures for MS Azure and M365 platforms.




- Provide technical guidance, impact analysis, and detailed architectural direction for cloud engineering teams.
- Liaise with cross-functional Agile teams, Enterprise Architecture, and Service Experience to align solutions with business requirements and Whole-of-Government standards.
- Drive platform automation, including testing, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Promote key enterprise architecture principles (re-use before buy/build) and align solutions with the DTA's Digital Service Standard.

Skills & Experience

- Cloud Expertise: 5+ years of experience implementing Azure technologies (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, SQL, API Management) and Azure networking/security.
- DevOps & Integration: Proficiency in Azure DevOps (IaC, CI/CD), Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Key Vault, and integrating cloud systems like MS Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Agile Collaboration: Proven ability to work in geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary Agile teams, adapting pragmatically to current project challenges.
- Desirable: Minimum 3 years of experience designing complex enterprise architectures, a strong track record of technical leadership, and AWS/GCP experience.
- Must-Haves: Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance within three months of commencement.
- Application Requirement: Ability to provide a concise, one-page pitch (maximum 5000 characters) addressing all specified essential and desirable criteria.
