Description:
Beaumont Tiles is seeking an experienced National Estimating Team Leader to lead our national estimating function and drive quality,
consistency and team performance.
Reporting to the National Residential Customer Service Manager, you will lead a team of five onshore estimators and an offshore estimating provider, helping shape a high-performing function that delivers accurate, timely and reliable outcomes for both customers and internal stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Estimator or Estimating Leader looking to combine technical expertise with people leadership and continuous improvement.
The Role
As National Estimating Team Leader, you will be responsible for the leadership, performance and development of the estimating team while ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency across all estimating activities.
You will provide technical guidance, drive process improvements and use data-driven insights to improve team performance and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a national team of estimators
- Build capability across both onshore and offshore estimating resources
- Ensure accurate and timely estimating outcomes across the business
- Monitor quality, productivity, turnaround times and rework metrics
- Use KPIs, audits and performance data to identify improvement opportunities
- Establish clear standards, processes and quality controls
- Support and coach team members through technical and complex estimating matters
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance estimating accuracy and customer outcomes
- Work closely with Sales, Selections, Installation and Operations teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You are a technically credible estimating professional who enjoys developing people and helping teams perform at their best.
You have progressed through an estimating career yourself and understand the challenges estimators face. Most importantly, you are passionate about developing people, building capability and empowering your team to succeed.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator, Estimating Supervisor or Estimating Team Leader
- Strong technical estimating knowledge and credibility
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing estimators
- Experience improving team performance using KPIs, quality metrics and operational data
- The ability to coach underperformance and build capability through structured development plans
- Experience managing quality controls, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience leading remote, offshore or outsourced teams will be highly regarded
- A strong sense of accountability and ownership, focusing on solutions rather than blame
- A structured leadership approach, including regular one-on-ones, coaching conversations and capability development
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, calm and accountable leadership style
