National Service Manager

Gold Coast, QLD | In office | Full-time | $120,000-$140,000 + super

Turn our service department into a business of its own.

Rely Pacific Laundry Equipment (RPLE) imports, stocks, preps, installs and services commercial washing machines and dryers for laundromats, commercial laundries, hotels and motels across the region. We're in an active growth phase — building out our systems, our team, and our next three to five years — and we need someone to own service end to end while we do it.

This isn't a role where you inherit a tidy playbook and maintain it. Today, service reacts to what comes in. You'll build the playbook — scheduling, preventive maintenance, contractor management, the lot — run the department like your own business with your own P&L;, and make service a genuine strength of RPLE rather than a cost centre.

What you'll own

- Service delivery & team leadership — you'll directly manage all RPLE service staff, setting clear expectations on what needs to be done and by when, and holding the team accountable for delivery.
- Preventive maintenance, built from scratch — you'll take our PM program from its current state into a structured, recurring offering that's a genuine profit centre in its own right, not just a service add-on.
- Job flow, scheduling & ticketing — you own every service, repair and maintenance job from request through to completion, including client communication throughout.
- Contractors & spare parts — you'll manage external service contractors to RPLE's own standard, and directly lead the spare parts team member supporting service work.
- Financial ownership — you run the department's P&L;: budgets, margin, and profitability, not just execution of jobs.
- Building the systems, not just running them — you'll design and embed the processes,



ticketing systems and SOPs this department needs, and make sure they actually stick with the team — plus build our national service footprint, developing strong relationships with regional service agents and technicians across Australia.

You'll report directly to the General Manager and sit close to the leadership team, with real visibility over the decisions that shape how RPLE's service function operates.

What we're looking for

- Genuine service or field-operations leadership experience — ideally having owned a P&L; for a service, maintenance or trade department
- Demonstrated experience building a preventive maintenance or recurring-revenue service program, ideally from a limited existing base
- A track record managing both internal technicians and external contractors
- Proven ability to build and embed processes with a team — not just write them down, but make them stick
- Strong scheduling and coordination skills, and excellent client-facing communication
- Genuinely hands-on and commercially minded — comfortable running a department like its own business while staying close to day-to-day delivery
