Renown Park Children's Centre is a part-time preschool that is committed to developing strong relationships with children, families and our community, creating a place where everyone feels a strong sense of belonging and through play, educators and families support all children to learn and develop their thinking and understanding about the world. We bring together education and care, health, community development activities and family services for young children and their families.

We offer a range of integrated services responsive to our community needs and our local setting.

We embrace our diverse community which consists of a high percentage of children who speak languages other than English at home and our Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander community. We have a strong focus on sustainability, outdoor play, inclusion and supporting reconciliation through our Reconciliation Action Plan.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled teacher to join our team as our Inclusive Preschool Program (IPP) teacher. You will set up the IPP at our centre and will support and empower children with additional needs who require substantial adjustments to access and thrive in their learning. The IPP consists of up to 6 preschool children requiring personalised education, including students with complex communication and behavioural needs.

You will work closely with an IPP ECW, DfE support workers, support workers for individual children and our preschool team.



You will have experience in utilising the planning cycle to plan and document for individuals and groups of children using the EYLF. The position requires commitment to inclusive practices, developing and implementing personalised learning plans, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

What You'll Need

- Approved Early Childhood teaching qualification and current registration with the TRB




- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive and engaging environments that meets the needs of all children through responsive and intentional teaching
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with children, families, colleagues and community.

Desirable

- Experience or a qualification in special education
