About the role

We are seeking an Op Shop Casual Sales Assistant to join the Epilepsy Foundation team at our Windsor location in Victoria. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst supporting our retail operations. As a Casual Sales Assistant, you will play an significant role in delivering exceptional customer service and helping to generate vital funds that support our mission to improve the lives of people affected by epilepsy.

Your contribution will directly impact our ability to provide education, support and research initiatives to our community.

MUST BE AVAILABLE for weekend work ( Saturday & Sunday's)

Key responsibilities

- Providing friendly and professional customer service to shoppers, assisting with product enquiries and recommendations
- Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Restocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure the retail space is clean, organised and visually appealing
- Handling cash and card payments securely, reconciling tills at the end of shifts
- Supporting inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting when replenishment is needed
- Greeting customers warmly upon arrival and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment
- Assisting with promotional activities and communicating product information to customers
- Maintaining compliance with health and safety standards throughout the store

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience, or a genuine willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and a friendly,



approachable demeanour
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic numeracy skills and accuracy when handling cash and processing transactions
- Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work varied casual hours as required
- A positive attitude towards supporting the Epilepsy Foundation's mission and values
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift stock items
